Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Brigham Young University Swim, you will take the lead in creating and managing swimming programs, offering personalized lessons to children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a strong interest in swimming, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine talent for motivating young swimmers to develop a fondness and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team and support our Brigham Young University Swim facility in Provo, UT.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and abilities
• Maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment for all participants
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback as needed
Requirements
• Previous experience working with students of diverse age groups and skill levels, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Proficient in various swim strokes and techniques
• Knowledgeable in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Strong communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills, capable of handling challenging situations with composure
• Background in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, showcasing experience in structured environments with children
• Passion for swimming and working with children.
