Job Description
Think you've got what it takes to spend your summer as a lifeguard? West Jordan Parks & Recreation is hiring responsible and energetic individuals to join our team! As a lifeguard, you'll be responsible for the safety of our members and guests and can expect competitive pay and tons of fun all summer long. Join us in making sure our aquatics areas are safe and welcoming for all who visit.
As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water with basic ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without use of hands - 2 min, etc.)
• Experience working with, or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not essential
• 18+ years of age
