As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Basic ability in deep water and watercraft use (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter swim, tread water - 2 min without hands, etc.)
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years old in age
