As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Ability to confidently navigate deep water and use watercraft like surfboards and kayaks
• Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and treading water for 2 minutes without using hands
• Experience working with children or teaching is preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is a bonus
• Must be 18 years of age or older
